Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:
“Kamala Harris’s latest bad faith attacks on election integrity policies are par for the course. She references Georgia’s high turnout in 2020, but conveniently ignores the fact that Georgia saw record early voting in 2022 after passing its landmark election integrity legislation. Harris even repeats the debunked lie that Georgia voters cannot get food and water while waiting to vote. The truth is, poll workers are explicitly allowed to provide water, but partisan operatives and activists cannot electioneer near polling places—a commonsense and routine protection. Policies that make it easy to vote and hard to cheat are popular and she knows it, which is why she and others on the Left feel the need to continue spreading misinformation about the successful laws states are passing to bring renewed confidence and integrity to voting.”
