Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:
“Honest Elections Project Action applauds the Indiana Senate for passing legislation banning partisan influence schemes that target election administration. The U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence is an $80 million program created by the left-wing Center for Tech and Civic Life. CTCL was behind the “Zuck Bucks” scandal in 2020, and this new “Zuck Bucks 2.0” program aims to influence election administration all across the country to benefit liberal candidates and causes.
“Private money and partisan special interests have no place influencing the neutral administration of elections. Allowing private election funding and influence schemes to operate only sows doubt in elections. The Indiana legislature is right to nip this in the bud. HEP Action urges Governor Eric Holcomb to quickly sign HB1264 into law and make Indiana the first state to ban Zuck Bucks 2.0.”
