Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:
“Honest Elections Project Action Applauds Governor Holcomb for signing legislation that makes Indiana the first state in the nation to formally ban partisan election influence schemes like the left-wing U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence. The Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), which led the Zuck Bucks scheme in 2020, hatched this new program to skirt bans on the private influence of election administration.
“HB 1264 bans Zuck Bucks 2.0, improves voter roll maintenance, and brings added protections against noncitizen voting. These are commonsense reforms that preserve public trust in elections. I congratulate the Indiana General Assembly, Governor Holcomb, and Secretary of State Diego Morales for shutting the door on the Alliance once and for all.”
