Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:
“Michigan Republicans deserve credit for quickly advancing legislation to ban the complicated scheme known as ranked-choice voting. This stands in stark contrast to the efforts of partisan, left-wing activists to force ranked-choice voting through a statewide ballot measure. Ranked-choice voting has already been banned in 17 states, and rejected at the ballot in six states last year alone. Michigan voters deserve elections they can trust. Honest Elections Project Action calls on the Michigan Senate to quickly pass this important legislation and ensure it is always easy to vote and hard to cheat in Michigan.”
