“Foreign dark money has had a profound impact on Ohio politics for far too long. That’s why several allies and I sent a letter urging House Speaker Stephens and Senate President Huffman to pass legislation formally banning foreign funding of ballot issue campaigns.
“Foreigners like left-wing Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss are already prohibited from donating to individual campaigns and PACs. Why should ballot initiatives be any different? It is our hope that state leaders in Ohio get this crucial and popular legislation across the finish line to protect their elections from foreign interference.”
