Statement from Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action:
“Today, Honest Elections Project Action joined a multitude of organizations encouraging Governor Ducey to sign HB 2617 into law. This bill adopts commonsense policies that uses government databases and driver’s license records to help ensure that voter rolls are clean and current. Millions of Americans move or die each year, requiring constant voter roll maintenance. Signing this bill into law would be a major victory for Arizona. Restoring the integrity of its election system begins by ensuring that only eligible voters are registered and voting. Additionally, removing those who cannot vote because of death, residency, or felony conviction will ensure that only Arizonans are voting in Arizona elections. This is yet another monumental step Arizona can take to make it easier to vote and harder to cheat.”
