Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:
“Honest Elections Project Action applauds Congressman Roy, Speaker Johnson, and House Republicans for making election integrity a priority by passing the SAVE Act. American elections should be decided by American voters. Requiring proof of citizenship to vote should not be controversial. After all, large majorities of Americans support proof of citizenship requirements during the voter registration process according to Honest Elections Project polling.
“Today’s left is fighting for open borders and noncitizen voting, and they are using hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions from foreign nationals like Hansjörg Wyss to push their agenda. There is no excuse for liberal politicians putting the interests of foreign nationals ahead of American citizens.”
