“Safeguarding elections from foreign interference is commonsense and thanks to the Iowa House, it is one step closer to being reality. Foreign nationals have long exploited a loophole allowing the foreign funding of ballot issue campaigns, pumping millions of dollars into extreme measures and displacing the voice of the American people. Honest Elections Project Action applauds the Iowa House on its passage of HF 2601 and urges the Senate to quickly pass this legislation, putting it on the Governor’s desk.”
