Honest Elections Project Action Applauds Massachusetts AG for Rejecting Ranked Choice Voting Ballot Questions

Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:

“Honest Elections Project Action applauds Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell’s decision rejecting multiple proposed ballot initiatives that sought to unconstitutionally impose ranked choice voting (RCV) in Massachusetts. Massachusetts voters overwhelmingly rejected RCV just three years ago. Deep-pocketed special interests spent millions trying to sell the state on a convoluted, confusing election system that makes it harder to vote. RCV’s backers failed and ought to respect the will of voters, but instead, they are trying to illegally put another RCV measure on the ballot. These illegal and persistent attempts to push ballot measures show how well-funded this movement is and how important it is to stop them.”
