Honest Elections Project Action Applauds the Ohio Legislature for Supporting Election Safeguards

Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Election Project Action:

“Ohio is the latest state to join those instituting commonsense voting laws that make it easier to vote and harder to cheat. HEP Action applauds the Ohio legislature for overwhelmingly supporting the safeguards that make it easy to vote and hard to cheat in Ohio. The newly passed legislation implements key policies including true photo ID requirements for all ballots, whether cast in person or by mail, free IDs for those who need them, and stronger safeguards for ballot drop boxes. The bill also reduces the number of days for ballots to come in after an election, speeding up results. I encourage Governor DeWine to swiftly sign this legislation into law so that Ohio can join states like Georgia and Florida that are securing and restoring the integrity of our elections.”
