“The Virginia Supreme Court deserves major credit for standing up to unyielding pressure to ignore the law and allow this illegal redistricting effort to move forward. Today’s decision is an enormous victory not just for the rule of law, but also the hundreds of thousands of Virginians who stood to be silenced by Virginia Democrats’ blatantly unconstitutional power grab.”
