Honest Elections Project Action Applauds Wisconsin State Assembly Passage of Voter ID Ballot Issue

Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:

Congratulations to the Wisconsin State Assembly for advancing a constitutional amendment to the ballot to enshrine voter ID requirements into the state constitution. The public deserves the chance to ensure that voters will always have to show ID when they vote in Wisconsin.

“Advancing voter ID requirements is a worthy start to the term by the state legislature. Poll after poll proves voter ID is an overwhelmingly popular policy, and last year Nevadans approved a voter ID ballot issue with over 70% of the vote. The only reason liberal politicians oppose this amendment is because they want to get rid of voter ID requirements, and they know the public isn’t with them.”
