“Securing elections from foreign influence is a common sense policy to ensure elections remain free and fair for the American people. Foreign nationals should have no say in the ballot issue process to amend state policies or state constitutions.
“Honest Elections Project Action applauds Iowa Senators for advancing legislation out of committee to ban the foreign funding of ballot issue campaigns in the Hawkeye State. We urge the Iowa Senate to swiftly pass this measure and send it to the House.”
