“For too long, Louisiana has allowed people to vote merely by signing an affidavit, without showing any form of ID at all. SB 319 will bring that practice to an end, requiring all voters to provide identification before their ballots are counted. Congratulations to Secretary of State Nancy Landry and Louisiana lawmakers for leading the charge to strengthen voter ID in Louisiana. Honest Elections Project Action was proud to support this critical bill and urges Governor Landry to sign it into law and keep it easy to vote and make it harder to cheat in Louisiana.”
