Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:
“Congratulations to North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong, Secretary of State Michael Howe, and state lawmakers for making North Dakota the 15th state to ban ranked choice voting. RCV is a confusing scheme that makes it harder to vote and erodes public trust in election results. North Dakota’s ban is particularly significant because it also does away with Fargo’s approval voting system, a voting scheme even more unusual than ranked-choice voting. Banning ranked-choice voting is a critical election integrity reform that will ensure North Dakotans get timely and accurate results.”
