“Honest Elections Project Action praises the Utah State Legislature for convening a special session to ban foreign interference in state ballot measures. Foreign nationals like Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss have spent hundreds of millions of dollars to influence American politics. It has long been illegal for foreign nationals to contribute to candidates. The same should be true for ballot issues. Thanks to Utah lawmakers, the people of Utah will now have the chance to stop foreign interference in Utah elections.”
