Honest Elections Project Action Provides Testimony at Michigan House Hearing on Ranked-Choice Voting:

Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:

“Ranked-choice voting is a convoluted system that makes it harder to vote and damages public trust in elections. Seventeen states have banned ranked-choice voting, but now progressives are trying to push it as a ballot measure in Michigan.

Michigan House lawmakers are right to call attention to the deep flaws with ranked-choice voting, in particular as the nation watches New Yorkers head to the polls in a high profile mayoral primary election that will use ranked-choice voting. Thanks to ranked-choice voting, New Yorkers won’t know who won for days. It was an honor to participate in this hearing to warn Michiganders about the many problems with ranked-choice voting as they consider a ballot issue to implement this ill-conceived practice later this year.”
