“Michigan Republicans are right to pursue legislation to ban ranked-choice voting in the state of Michigan, particularly as partisan activists are pushing to gain signatures to advance a ballot issue to mandate ranked-choice voting for elections statewide. Americans do not want ranked-choice voting, which is why seventeen states have banned it and six others have rejected ballot issues to enshrine it. Michigan legislators should pass HB 4707 and join these states in banning this convoluted system.
