Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:
“For too long, foreign nationals have been able to give millions of foreign-tied dollars to ballot issue campaigns, helping to rewrite the laws and constitutions of states across the country. Make no mistake, foreign nationals should have no role to play in America’s democratic process.
“Honest Elections Project Action was proud to be represented today by its Legal Policy Director, Jackie Doyer, who provided testimony in support of legislation that would close the foreign influence loophole. Wisconsinites deserve elections free from foreign influence, which is why we urge swift passage of AB 906.”
