Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action:
“The Missouri legislature took monumental steps this week to improve Missouri’s election system. House Bill 1878 requires a photo ID to vote, bans private funding, adds protections against voter trafficking, and allows individuals to vote two weeks early if they wish to. All these measures are commonsense and popular policies that will make it easier to vote and harder to cheat in Missouri. I encourage Governor Parson to quickly sign HB 1878 into law so that Missouri can join states like Georgia, Florida, Texas, and Arizona as leaders in restoring our election systems by enacting policies supported by an overwhelming majority of our country.”
