Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:
“Last night, President Trump was right to continue to push for popular and effective election integrity policies like the SAVE America Act, and reveal the extent to which China and other foreign adversaries are working to influence American elections. That should be a real wake-up call to lawmakers to shore up election policies everywhere.
“Giving states more resources to keep noncitizens and other ineligible voters off the rolls and requiring a photo ID to vote are common sense policies that would enhance public trust in the democratic process. Democrats in Congress continue to stonewall the SAVE America Act, but state legislatures have the authority and the duty to enact new laws that make it easy to vote and hard to cheat.”
