Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:
“Requiring mail ballots to be received by the close of the polls on Election Day is just common sense. Allowing ballots to be accepted after Election Day unnecessarily delays results and invites public doubt in elections. That is why the overwhelming majority of states already require ballots to be received by Election Day. Honest Elections Project Action applauds West Virginia lawmakers for pursuing this essential election integrity policy that keeps it easy to vote and hard to cheat.”
