Honest Elections Project Action Urges Michigan House to Reject Legislation to Implement Passing National Popular Vote

Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:

“Honest Elections Project Action urges the Michigan House of Representatives to reject proposed legislation to join the National Popular Vote movement to end the electoral college. National Popular Vote (NPV) is a scheme to manipulate the electoral college and evade the U.S. and Michigan Constitution. NPV would relegate the voices and interests of Michiganders and let presidential candidates ignore them in favor of coastal and urban voters. Simply put, NPV is not in the best interest of the state of Michigan or the United States as a whole.”
