Honest Elections Project Action Urges Texas House to Pass Ranked Choice Voting Ban Before Ending Legislative Session

Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project Action, released the following statement:

“I urge the Texas House of Representatives to act now to officially ban ranked-choice voting before this complicated voting scheme can sweep into Texas. Dark-money special interests are pushing ranked-choice voting across the country. But RCV makes voting harder, confuses voters, jeopardizes public trust in elections, and has even led to the wrong candidate being declared the winner. States across the country are banning ranked-choice voting. Texas voters deserve a transparent election system that makes it easy to vote and hard to cheat. It is time for the Texas House of Representatives to take action to protect the integrity of Texas elections.”
